A devout Muslim who set out to defend Islam to a Christian friend, examined the evidence for the crucifixion, the resurrection and Jesus' claims, and became a Christian. He told the story in Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus (2014).

Qureshi describes years of debate with his friend David Wood while studying medicine, his love for his family and his faith, and the cost of his decision. He became a speaker and writer, and died of cancer in 2017.
