Hasn't the Bible been changed over time?
Modern Bibles are translated from Greek and Hebrew manuscripts, thousands of them, some very early. Comparing them lets scholars recover the original wording with great confidence.
The New Testament has far more manuscript evidence than any other ancient book, and the Dead Sea Scrolls showed the Old Testament text was copied with great care. Where a reading is uncertain, modern Bibles say so in a footnote.
