What is the gospel?
The good news that Jesus, the Son of God, died for our sins, was buried and rose on the third day, and that everyone who turns to God and trusts Him is forgiven and receives eternal life.
The evidence matters because the message matters. If Jesus rose, His offer of forgiveness is real.
