Why other paths fall short
Scientology
Scientology teaches that a person is a thetan, an immortal spiritual being who must be freed through auditing and costly courses. The Bible says our problem is sin against God, and freedom is a gift, not a purchase.
What it teaches
Founded by L. Ron Hubbard, author of Dianetics (1950), Scientology holds that people are thetans who have forgotten their true nature, and that auditing and graded levels of training restore spiritual ability.
Where it goes wrong
The Bible says we are created beings, loved by our Creator, and that our deepest need is forgiveness for sin, which Jesus paid for. Salvation cannot be bought or earned in stages; it is received by faith.
27God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.
